Description

The apartment is located in a traffic-free area by a sandy beach. It has a balcony with a wonderful sea view over and the entire bay of Diano Marina and Cervo. It is a spacious enough balcony to enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning, and the beautiful view of the beach and bay in the evenings. The second floor apartment has a lift and sleeps four comfortably; it comprises a double bedroom and a living room with pull-out sofa bed. Nearby you\'ll find some very fine restaurants, bars and other places if interest. It is ideal for a guests wanting to enjoy a beach holiday without a car, or for trips into the surrounding countryside. The town has inviting sandy beaches, which are free and also private, as well as many more excellent facilities, such as entertainment events throughout the year.

On the plain that is crossed by the San Pietro river, an area showing signs of Iron Age settlement, there once stood "Lucus Bormani", the sacred wood dedicated to the water god Borman, which in Roman times became an important resting place along the Via Julia Augusta. Saracen incursions in the later Middle Ages forced the inhabitants to take to the highlands, but from the thirteenth century onwards Diano expanded and became especially important as a commercial centre for the sea trading of olive oil.


Diano_MarinaAfter the town was destroyed by an earthquake in 1887, reconstruction work gave Diano an appearance typical of a nineteenth-century Riviera town. The parish church of Sant'Antonio Abate on the Via Aurelia dates from 1862: the marble altars date from the seventeenth century and are situated in the neo-classical interior near to frescoes and paintings from the Genoese school, including the "Death of Saint Joseph" by Luca Cambiaso. The civic museum tells the story of Diano Marino through the centuries and preserves archaeological exhibits from pre-Roman and Roman times (including amphorae and vases from a ship that sank off the coast) and objects from the Napoleonic era and the Risorgimento.


Since Diano was rebuilt, tourism has been the undisputed vocation of a town which offers sandy beaches surrounded by Mediterranean maquis. With its tourist harbour and facilities and the opportunity to practise a variety of sports (from traditional diving to go-karting, bowling and minigolf), Diano Marina is the heart of the Gulf. If you wish, you can take a boat that passes by the most important locations along the Riviera dei Fiori and takes you to do some whale-watching off the coast.


A great event is the is a marvellous display of flowers during the solemn time of Corpus Domini (between May and June): the streets of the town are covered with flowers arranged in special patterns.

Bessere Qualität der Einrichtung (Garderobe- und andere Haken, Duschvorhang, Staubsauger, der funktioniert...) würden sich auf die Dauer vermutlich auszahlen. Balkongeländer entrosten und neu streichen. Die Gelateria Mr. Big in Diano Marina ist einmalig! Diano Marina ist wunderschön, auch weil es nicht nur vom Tourismus lebt, man sieht auch viele Einheimische. Spannender Antiquitäten-und Flohmarkt am 1. Sonntag im Monat beim Bahnhof Diano Marina. Cervo ist sehr malerisch und pittoresk und bietet von der Kirche aus eine einmalige Sicht aufs Meer. Ausflug nach Laiguelia lohnt sich, auch dieses Dorf ist sehr schön.

Zuccarello mit Superpizzeria in den Arcaden. Oneglia ideal zum Shoppen und Kaffeetrinken im Picardo. Viel Öl kaufen. In der Nähe der Supermarkt Punto verde ist klein, hat aber gute Produkte, vor allem gutes Fleisch. Apricale, San Remo, Nerva-Tal sind schöne Ausflugsziele und Oneglia! Uns hat die persönliche und individuelle Betreuung sehr gefallen. Einmal hat der Boiler nicht mehr funktioniert. Ein Anruf in München und nach unserer Rückkehr vom Tagesausflug war alles behoben. Einfach super!

Wir finden das kleine Restaurant wo man Pizza und tollen Fisch bekommt - bei Luigi besonders reizvoll. Die Wege Richtung Cervo, San Diano Castello, also alles Richtung Berge ist sehr reizvoll. Es gibt so viel zu entdecken. Man kann auch super gut mit dem Zug Richtung Albenga, auch ein nettes Städtchen reisen, von dort aus dem Römerweg wandern, usw. Nochmals vielen Dank für Ihre Freundlichkeit und Unkompliziertheit, das ist sehr sehr viel wert. Ihnen weiterhin ein so gutes Händchen und alles Gute

Von San Laurenzo Al Mare in das kleine Bergdorf Civezza. Herrlich kleines Dorf aus dem Frühen Mittelalten welches seinen Charme bawahrt hat und welches wunderbaro Foromotive liefert, wie fast alles an der Ligurischen Küste. Sicherlich waren wir nicht das letzte mal an der Ligurischen Küste und ich denke ich werde sicher wieder über ihr Unternehmen buchen.

Neue Möbel für den Balkon (größerer Tisch). Cervo ist ein Traum! Da wir Anfang der Fußball-WM angereist sind, waren wir etwas enttäuscht, dass der Fernseher nur Regionalprogramme hatte (bei 14 Tage Urlaub)! Kostenlose Liegestuhlbenützung direkt am Strand wäre schön gewesen.

the balcony was very nice, but the umbrella was damaged it was a vety nice locality, but we would like to stay closer to Diano Marina next time .it was difficult to take a shower without getting the hole floor wet.

Wie schon erwähnt, Matratzen in gutem Zusatand, es müssen nicht die teuersten sein, die Waschmaschine im Bad muss weg. In der Küche fehlte ein sehr wichtiges Utensil: der Korkenzieher - Italien und Wein - undenkbar. Ansonsten, wie gesagt, wunderbar herrlich traumhaft zu wohlfühlen, wir lieben die dann doch unkomplizierte Art auch des Wohnens. Die Wanderregion möchten wir in unserem nächsten Urlaub erkunden und kennenlernen, mit mindesten 14 Tagen Urlaub, wir haben schon vieles von Freunden erfahren und viel gelesen. Schön, dass es eine so nette und freundliche und unkomplizierte Adresse für Urlaubsorte finden gibt. Machen Sie weiter so Vielen Dank für alles mit herzlichen Grüssen Familie Rössler - Baum
