The apartment Casa Carmen is located in the charming town of Varese Ligure, in the Ligurian hinterland. Each year operas are performed in August on the market place, hence the apartment\'s name. Romantic and charming, it is fully equipped for two people. The open kitchen houses an unusual bathtub with curiously wrought clawed feet, reflecting the original design of the apartment, which also comprises a double bedroom and a small balcony. For those who prefer not cook every day, meals can be delivered from the restaurant next door, which specialises in organic ingredients. And for those who have never quite mastered the culinary arts, they even offer cookery classes. Sports enthusiasts will be especially with Casa Carmen\'s location, as Varese Ligure has a swimming pool, tennis courts, an equestrian centre, and is also an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling in the countryside.

Varese Ligure is primarily known for two things. Firstly, it is the "round village" and, secondly, everything is grown purely biologically in and around Varese Ligure, and for that it has earned the nickname of "the green village".
The old round center of the village dates from the year 1161. At that time the Count Fieschi wanted to build a housing complex and a fortress at the same time due to the good location. next Apart from the Counts, the inhabitants were rich traders and craftsmen. The houses were built in the same style with 2 floors respectively. There were only 2 doors in the exterior house wall at that time, however only one is there today.
The beautifully renovated village stands attractively even today with its castle, the Ferrari palace and the numerous churches. Classical music concerts and stage productions take place in the round village center during summer evenings due to the special acoustics.
Another unique feature is the homemade pasta, which you should definetely taste in various restaurants in the village. From here, a special imprint is given to the "pasta cookies" using wooden stamps. This varies according to family, restaurant or the like.

Badewanne weg machen und eine Küche inklusiv Essbereich einbauen, ansonsten echt schön!! Der Balkon ist sehr schmal. Man kann sehr gut den Bus & die Bahn für Ausflüge in andere Orte & Städte nehmen (ist auch nicht teuer).
