The Villetta Caruso is located just a few meters away from the sea in the popular coastal town of San Bartolomeo al Mare. The holiday house has two very nicely furnished bedrooms, a conveniently fitted and well equipped kitchen / living-room and a bathroom with shower. You can sit back and enjoy the sun with an absorbing book in the beautiful well-tended garden. There is also a beautiful seafront to tempt you to take numerous evening strolls.

This municipality was created from the two ancient towns of Rovere and San Bartolomeo. Pottery finds in the area of Rovere testify to the town's existence in Roman times and also to earlier human settlement.The first thing that strikes you when entering this town to the west of the River Steria are the bougainvillea hedges, the geraniums and orange trees lining the avenues and the aroma of aromatic herbs.


San_Bartolomeo_al_mareThe sanctuary of the Madonna della Rovere is very well known, as is the "Rovere d'Oro" International Music Competition, which draws many visitors every summer. Lying in the shade of English oaks, the sanctuary preserves a fifteenth-century crucifix and an oval fresco by Tommaso Carrega. The neo-classical façade is embellished with a slate portal.


The spire of a bell-tower rises out of the old town centre of San Bartolomeo. Of late mediaeval origin but expanded in the seventeenth-century, the parish church suffered serious damage in the earthquake of 1887 but was later carefully reconstructed. It preserves a poliptych of San Bartolomeo and Saints by De Rossi and his son. The charming little church of Sant'Anna in the district of Poiolo is surrounded by cool palm trees and stands on a hillock (from which the locality gets its name) between Rovere and San Bartolomeo.


If you walk inland you come to Pairola, a town that was built thanks to the earnings from olive cultivation and coral fishing. Ponte dei Richieri is an ancient district full of oil mills, where you can actually see olive oil being produced. In Borgata Freschi you can see the small country church of San Rocco: according to tradition, the saint stopped to rest here and left the outline of his body impressed in the rock.
Summer visitors can go for a swim in the sea or the swimming pool, and among the many amusements are numerous water sports, excursions on horseback, tennis and archery. As well as the simple country dishes of the inland areas, you can try the fish and sea-food dishes served in the seaside restaurants: all, of course, to be accompanied by Vermentino superior wine.

Ein neuer Duschvorhang wäre schön, sonst ist die Ausstattung in Ordnung Vielleicht ein Liegestuhl, damit man unter den tollen Zironenbäumen liegen kann

nee is prima zo voor een vakantie bestemming zoals ik al eerder noemde een vaste BBQ diana marina met veel winkeltjes en restaurants en op disdag de week markt.met name ristorante - terrazza principe decurtis. in san bartolomeo al mare aan het strand restaurant bassilico. borgo marina leuk klein pleintje met leuke restaurantjes waar je heerlijk kunt eten. ventimiglia met de grootste markt van italie op vrijdag en dan samen doen met de botanische tuinen van hanbury. verder nog genua met zijn grootste zeeaquarium van europa en het scheepvaart museum en de neptune een 17 eeuws schip. misschien een spoorboekje in het huisje leggen is wel makkelijk .

Alles nötige vorhanden, der Sonnenschirm war leider kaputt. Wir waren gerade auch mit dem Garten sehr zufrieden. Gerade mit kleinen Kindern war es gut sich auch mal zurück ziehen zu können. Entlang der Strandpromenade Richtung Altstadt gibt es einen sehr netten Kinderspielplatz. Generell ist das Angebot an Kinderspielplätzen, gerade für kleine Kinder, sehr gut - wesentlich angenehmer als auf der Adriaseite!! Wir werden diese Region sicherlich wieder besuchen!

Bitte etwas mehr Geschirr, beispielsweise Weingläser Alassio und Andora haben schöne Strände. Einen Hundestrand gab es in Laiguelia. Kosten für einen Hund und zwei Menschen für einen Nachmittag ca. ?25. Wir fanden Ihr Preis Leistungs Verhältnis und Ihre Betreuung sehr gut

Die Orte an der Küste, wie z.B. Imperia, San Remo, aber auch die kleine Dörfer im Inland sind alle sehr schön. Besonders empfehlenswert ist Cervo. Die Gegend eignet sich sehr gut zum biken.

Geschirrspüler und Radio wären noch wünschenswert, ansonsten vollkommen ausreichend. Da das Objekt für 5 Personen gebucht werden kann, sollten auch 5 Gartenstühle vorhanden sein. Der kleine Garten ist ausreichend und war auch sehr schön gepflegt. San Remo, Besuch der Olivenhaine, Cervo, die ganze Umgebung ist angenehm wir waren alle sehr zufrieden
