Description
Badalucco, which features many restaurants and shops, is only situated a few km behind the turbulent coastal resort of Arma di Taggia with its beautiful sandy beach. The holiday apartment Casa Carla is located on the second floor in the well preserved historic centre with its Carruggi (alleys). The apartment sleeps up to five persons in a bedroom with a double and a single bed, a second bedroom with twin beds, a kitchen cum sitting room and a bathroom with a half-tub. Get close to the real Italian life in the Carruggi and on the Piazza, or take a refreshing dip in the Argentina river.

This is a typical town in the Argentina Valley with rough stone houses nestled among the mountains. Rows of houses follow the winding course of the River Argentina, while others are huddled between the road and the rock face. Higher up is the steeper part of the town, which was a challenge to build due to the ruggedness of the terrain. The name of the town (in Latin: "bella duco") recalls the fighting spirit of the Ligurians, who engaged the Romans in 181 BC near the Campus Martius at the entrance to the town in a battle that was decisive for control of the territory.
The fortified town, which is today embellished by works of art lodged in the lower part of the wall, still shows some traces of the ancient gates, which were later incorporated into the buildings: these are the gates of San Rocco, Poggetto, Beo, Castello and Santa Lucia, which stands on the bridge of the same name (1555).
Badalucco was at the junction of the roads leading out of the lower valley area and up along the ridges: the two late mediaeval humpback bridges at the entrance and exit to the town are a reminder of its ancient function as a crossroads. The church of San Nicolò just outside the town was built in the seventeenth century on the ruins of the old castle. Opposite this stands Palazzo Boeri, which has a beautiful loggia and was built in the same period.

The work on restoring and embellishing the town began with the opening of an open-air art gallery comprising murals and wood and ceramic works (which serve to hide what cannot be restored) along the winding streets and was followed up by restoration and imaginative decoration of the many old fountains.
In September, Badalucco is full of good food enthusiasts, who come here to taste the famous speciality of stockfish "alla baucogna" during the festival of the same name.

Visiter les petits village de l'arrière pays. La boulangerie à gauche en arrivant de Taggia, presque en face du petit quiosque est trés bonne et en plus la boulangère parle trés bien le français. Un trés bon restaurant à Montaldo Ligure, le village juste aprés Badalucco, La Capanna Dei Celti, nous y avons trés bien mangé et l'acceuil est exellent.

ein neuer Fön im Badezimmer wäre nicht schlecht und es könnte etwas mehr Geschirr vorhanden sein die Lokale im Ort sind alle zu empfehlen

Ich würde den runden Tisch im Flur entfernen und ein gewikeltes Ledersofa dort aufstellen. Oder aus dem Dreibettzimmer und dem Flur ein großes Wohzimmer mit drei Schlafsofas. Von Nizza bis Genua bietet diese Gegend alles aus dem Spektrum von Kultur bis Sport und Baden. Aber das Hinterland sollte man auch besuchen. Fahrten in die Bergpässe sind eine Augeweide. Ein guter Reiseführer klärt über die Schätze der Gegend auf. Den sollte man unbedingt vorher studieren.

Uns hat alles gut gefallen und wir würden auch in diesem Objekt nochmal Urlaub machen. Sehr ordentlich und sauber, Besitzerin sehr freundlich. Auf jeden Fall werden wir wieder bei BlumenRiviera unseren Urlaub buchen und können es wirklich weiterempfehlen.

Die "Geisterstadt" Bussana Vecchia sollte man besuchen und den Fluss Argentina mit Kindern erkunden ist toll.
