Nervi is a small suburb of Genoa. As well as the beautiful 2 km long Anita Garibaldi seaside promenade, it boasts many splendid villas.
One of these is Villa Gropallo, in whose park the International Ballet Festival is held in July. Villa Serra, which dates from the 18th century, is home to an important collection of paintings with works from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The Museo Raccolte Frugone (Tue-Fri 09.00 – 19.00, Sat/Sun 10.00 – 19.00) is located in Villa Grimaldi Fassio.
Those with an interest in ceramics and rococo mirrors will be delighted by the Museo Gavettino-Luxuoro (Tues-Fri 09.00 – 13.00, Sat 10.00 – 13.00).
On warm summer evenings you can stroll through the picturesque fishing port with its restaurants. Another worthwhile visit would be the baroque church of San Siro in the old town.
